Meet ExM!
Bella Coe (‘25)
Mezzo, she/her Bella is a junior double-major in Psychology and Anthropology with a minor in Business Fundamentals, and is absolutely honored to be the President of Extreme Measures. This is her 5th semester in ExM, and she is beyond excited for more retreats, gigs, family dinners, and the release of our upcoming EP! Her hobbies include telling everyone that she lives “just south of Boston”, laughing at horror movies, swinging lightsabers, having an oddly accurate Dora (the Explorer) impression, taking an unhealthy amount of photos of her Golden Retriever (named Bailey), and dedicating over a decade of her life to musical theatre, choral, and speech & debate. Bella enjoys listening to Weyes Blood, Phoebe Bridgers, Tiny Habits, Bo Burnham, Lizzy McAlpine, the orchestrations of John Williams and Ludwig Göransson, and every Christmas song ever. Bella has seen over 1,000 movies, and always wants to hear your recommendations. She is unapologetically in the top 6% of Candy Crush players globally, collects celebrity autographs, and is ordained in the state of Massachusetts (just for fun). |
Dan Robinson (‘24)
Bass, he/him Daniel Robert Robinson, a native of Stonington, CT, is a proud and friendly member of the loveliest A Cappella group on campus (Extreme Measures). "Dan" is a senior at UConn and he double majors in Political Science & Urban and Community Studies. He is unfathomably excited to begin his sixth semester with ExM in his new role of Music Director (after assisting notable ExM alum Eric Venables in the year prior). His musical background began primarily with the piano when he started taking lessons in the second grade. However, he found his appreciation for vocal performance in high school when he joined an A Cappella group for the very first time. These days, Dan will try his hand at songwriting every once in a blue moon, drawing musical inspiration from some of his favorite soft/folk/pop rock artists, such as Bruce Hornsby, James Taylor, Christine McVie, or John Mayer. Additionally, Dan drives a 2001 Mercedes Benz, has a deep appreciation for New England, and will reliably beat his fellow ExM members in Mario Kart on any occasion - and will make you feel bad about it (in a friendly competitive way). If you need him, he’ll probably be at the nearest Dunkin' draining his bank account, or in nearby Manchester where he lives with notable ExM alum Emily Raffalo -- and their elderly cat "Mittens". |
Mason Bickham (‘25)
Tenor, he/him Mason is from Ledyard, CT (the town where Foxwoods Casino is located). Mason is a Psychological Science major and is in the class of 2025. This is his 6th semester in ExM. In his free time Mason likes to hang out with friends or play games on his consoles. If you ever see Mason make sure to say hi and see if he wants to hang out some time, I’m sure he would love to. |
Grace Maynard ('25)
Soprano, she/her Grace is a junior Cognitive Science major on a pre-med track from West Hartford, Connecticut. This is her fourth semester with the group, and is both ExM's Treasurer and Assistant Music Director. In her free time, Grace loves reading books, going to the gym, and taking naps. She is unapologetically in love with Edward Cullen from Twilight and hopes he will one day swoop her away from Storrs to Forks, Washington. |
Sandra Maina (‘24)
Mezzo, she/her Sandra is a junior Psychology major on the pre-med track. This is her 7th semester in ExM. She absolutely loves hanging out with all of ExM and breaking into song whenever we hang out. Her hobbies include watching way too many tv shows, being from Kenya, and having Emily reveal obvious facts to her (such as the fact that ducks can fly). Sandra knows any and everything from the tv series glee and WILL ask you if you’ve watched before, and is not a fan of John Legend or Parmesan. |
Lara Koushouris ('26)
Alto, she/her Lara is a sophomore planning on pursuing an individualized major in music business. This is her fourth semester being a part of the most delightful and ravishing a cappella group in the greater Storrs area. Lara is from Greenwich, CT and has always loved to sing, but began her endeavors as a choir girl some time in elementary school — at which point she was already an orchestra student. She then stopped singing in middle school because they made her pick one. She then joined again in high school because she got tired of lugging around her violin. Lara decided to audition for a cappella at UConn because she ran into her cousin (former Conn Man) about 15 minutes before sign ups ended. She had told him she was interested. She had forgotten to sign up. She was a freshman and it was hot outside and she was tired. She digresses. Lara can often be found watching psychological thrillers/true crime, (bad) Netflix rom coms, and Suits, and will shamelessly plug her Spotify and send you personalized song recommendations whenever you need them (or more importantly, whenever you don’t). She loves hanging out with her friends from ExM, but she only does it to fill the void of missing her black lab, Luna. She listens to a wide assortment of music, including (but most definitely not limited to) John Mayer, The 1975, Del Water Gap, Lizzy McAlpine, Djo, girl in red, Inhaler, Noah Kahan, Sam Fender, the Rolling Stones, Daniel Caesar, and a whole lot of country (especially over the summer). She also loves to inform (and remind) people that her uncle attended high school with John Mayer. She wishes she could say the same about herself. |
Mary Kate Stewart (‘25)
Soprano, she/her MK is a junior Psychology and HDFS student from Simsbury, CT. Her hobbies include playing piano, coloring, and Hay Day (currently level 69). She listens to all types of music, and is always open to song suggestions! She also likes talking about her strange diseases and injuries she had as a child. This is her fourth semester in ExM and she is super honored to be a part of the group! |
Amanda Melchers ('24)
Soprano, she/her Hi! My name is Amanda and I’m a senior Allied Health Sciences major planning on pursuing occupational therapy in grad school. I’m also a proud Jersey girl!! Some of my favorite things include sleeping, cleaning, TikTok, yoga, tea, Gilmore Girls, my dog, and Playa Bowls. I’ve been singing in choirs for my whole life and am also apart of UConn’s concert choir. This is my third semester in ExM, and I am so very excited to be a part of such an amazing and talented group of people! |
Mal Tatum ('24)
Tenor, he/him Hey y’all. My name’s Malaki but i usually go by Mal. I am a senior from Queens, New York and am planning to be a sociology major. Some things i like to do for fun include, binging a good tv show, cliff jumping, surfing and basically anything that involves an adventure. And of course singing! I have been singing for as long as i can remember and am so grateful to have a new family who loves to sing just as much as me. Peerahdtt!! |
Wyatt Anderson ('27)
Baritone, he/him Wyatt is a talented lad who was living in Jamaica for 13 years before his move to America on July 2, 2018. He is a freshman music major with a tremendous love for music, soccer, and anime. He is a hard worker in anything he does, is passionate about and always tends to go for what he wants with full intent. Wyatt started singing when he was just 9 and realized he had a talent in which he wanted to keep improving on as he grew and matured. He writes a lot of songs in his spare time, along with honing his other musical skills such as piano playing and rapping! |
Tayte Hutchinson ('26)
Bass, he/him Tayte is a sophomore majoring in Communications from Glastonbury CT. He loves bands like The Strokes, Vampire Weekend, and LCD Soundsystem. Tayte loves going on trips with his friends and seeing new places! He is also a huge comic and video game nerd. Anddd he’s super excited to be apart of this EXM squad for his first semester!!! |
Soti Paul ('27)
Baritone, he/him Hailing from Wethersfield, CT, Soti is a freshman majoring in physics. He loves edm, indie pop, and alt rock - yet he finds it difficult to listen to any of those genres as his unhealthy obsession with The 1975 takes up all of his time. By day, he can be seen endlessly toiling over differential equations, conservative systems, force fields, and other such curiosities. But by night, he finds solace in playing the piano, totally immersed in the dichotomy between the black and white keys, the resonance of the strings with the heartstrings of the listening, and the meddling of rhythm and harmony with the soul. Although he is but a noob, with an indefatigable spirit and a heart full of whimsy, he is ready to take on whatever awaits him in his exm journey. |
Rosemary Moyo ('27)
Soprano, she/her I’m Rosemary a freshman in biomedical engineering from Zimbabwe who loves music, food and smiles. I find dancing and canoeing fun besides adrenaline rush activities like zip lining. I also love nature watching as well taking care of flowers and sharing a good meal very relaxing. I am overjoyed being a part of EXM!! and am excited to cherish and relive my soulful memories with my new family. |
